Unionville is located in Central Connecticut. We are West of the Connecticut River and just 20 minutes West of the state capital, Hartford. Unionville is strategically located between two major cultural centers, Boston (115 miles) and New York City (90 miles) and just 26 minutes from the state's major airport, Bradley Field.

According to one explanation, we were named Union District and then Unionville because the corners of Farmington, Avon and Burlington united to form it. The area includes sections of town identified earlier in this century as Langdon's Quarter and Lovelytown.

Today, Unionville is the home to almost 100 locally owned or managed businesses.
