Located midway between Boston, Massachusetts and New York City and situated on the shores of both the Thames River and Long Island Sound, the City of New London is a wonderful community in which to live, visit and do business. Our historic downtown combines waterfront beauty with artistic charm. Galleries, restaurants and a lively music scene provide a wealth of entertainment.

The City is in a period of significant economic revitalization. The National Coast Guard Museum, expected to bring in hundreds of thousand visitors each year, will be locating in the heart of our downtown. A mixed use development project with a supermarket and apartments is proposed to break ground in 2014. City Flats, an innovative project which will restore and preserve historic homes while converting them into condominiums, is underway. Members of the Hodges Square Village Association, in conjunction with New London Landmarks, are revitalizing their neighborhood with a farmers market and planned streetscape improvements.
