Central Maine Researchers and Investigators of the Paranormal

Central Maine Researchers and Investigators of the Paranormal is a 501(c) non-profit group whose purpose is to research and investigate evidence of paranormal phenomenon using practices and methods which are scientific in nature. CMRIP covers the State of Maine and New Hampshire and will travel farther if needed.

Paranormal research is not an exact science and it is usually misunderstood.

Our goal in trying to prove whether or not ghosts exist is to gather and seek information on paranormal incidents to help us have a better understanding of ghosts and hauntings. In the process of reaching our goal we also wish to help any individuals experiencing problems with the paranormal.

During the research process, we will interview the client and we may look into the history of the building and or the land where the paranormal activity is taking place.

During an investigation we will collect data with a variety of instruments including infrared video cameras, digital cameras, camcorders, electromagnetic field detectors, digital thermometers, voice recorders, and more.

We do NOT use ouija boards, seances or other forms of summoning in order to research the paranormal. We cannot perform exorcisms, and if a banishing or cleansing is requested, we will call someone in who will be able to assist you.

We respect our clients right to privacy. Everything is strictly confidential unless we receive written permission to use it elsewhere.

There are no charges for any of these services, however any donations would gratefully be accepted. Any donations received would go towards gas, batteries, dvds, new equipment, etc.
