Our Mission: To value all real and personal property located in the Town of Stratford on a fair and equitable basis according to Connecticut General Statutes in order to ensure that each Property owner realizes an appropriate contribution of the total property tax burden.The Assessor is required to discover, list and value all real and personal property subject to taxation. The property is assessed at 70% of fair market value. In addition to over 19,000 parcels of real property (land and buildings), the Assessor must value personal property of approximately 2,700 businesses and 45,000 motor vehicles as well as to administer tax credits and property tax exemptions
