The Assessor's Office:
The Office of the Assessor is responsible for discovering, listing and valuing all properties located within the Town. There are three types of taxes that we are responsible for. They are real estate, motor vehicle and personal property. It is the Assessor's responsibility to value all properties fairly, uniformly and equitably for Ad valorem taxation. All properties in town reflect the fair market value of the last revaluation, which was for the October 1, 2011 Grand List.

Our duties also include handling exemption programs for the blind, disabled, elderly, veterans who served during wartime, and disabled veterans. The elderly and disabled programs are income qualifies.
