Assessor's Office - Lisbon, CT
The Assessor’s office is primarily responsible for preparing the Town’s Grand List. The Grand List is generated each year as of October 1st and is a record of all taxable and tax exempt property including real estate, personal property and motor vehicles.
Property record cards are kept in the Assessor’s office and are available to the public during office hours.
Real Estate values are determined during a revaluation which, per State Statue must be done every 5 years.
Motor Vehicle values are obtained by using NADA average retail and the Older Car Price Guide (a drive able vehicle).
Personal Property consists primarily of business property and is priced new then depreciated on a schedule approved by O.P.M.
